It is with heavy heart that the MFS ownership has taken this column to write in place of Todd. We have lost Todd to a freak weather-related traffic accident on 8/9. The website has lost a great writer, supporter and devout participant, but the MFS family has lost a dear friend.

The long-standing leagues that Todd has played in over the years will never be the same. His Sunday evening postings were always something that we looked forward to as he agonized and celebrated over every play and ever line-up decision he made and found the time to summarize them and take us through them with him. He amused us all and, if the ownership of the Pittsburgh Steelers were aware of his team devotion, their Terrible Towels would be at half-mast today. This is been a tough off-season all around, but we could ever expect a sudden loss as great as this.

R.I.P Todd, you left us way too early.
